Charles Darwin University (CDU) invites applications for the Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship 2026. This prestigious scholarship provides fully funded support for domestic and international students to undertake a Master's by Research or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at one of Australia's leading public research universities.
The CDU RTP Scholarship is designed for highly motivated individuals seeking to advance their research careers in a diverse and innovative academic environment. – Fully funded stipend: AU$34,190 per year (tax-free, full-time; 2025 rate) or AU$17,095 per year (taxable, part-time), paid fortnightly
– Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of the program
– Additional benefits: relocation allowance (up to AU$2,500 for international students; AU$2,000 for domestic), paid sick leave, and maternity leave

Eligibility Requirements
– Open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, and international applicants from any country
– Must be eligible for a full-time Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at CDU
– For Master's applicants: completed Bachelor's degree; for PhD applicants: completed Bachelor's and Master's degrees
– International applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS > 7 or equivalent)
– Applicants must not receive income exceeding 75% of the RTP stipend rate for general living costs from another source
– Written confirmation from a CDU supervisor required prior to application
