About the role
This role is critical for the accurate and compliant delivery of weekly and fortnightly payroll across all stores and the Restaurant Support Centre. The role partners closely with Restaurant Teams, HR, Operations, Finance and external payroll vendors to ensure payroll inputs, timesheets and employee lifecycle changes are processed on time. Key responsibilities span end‐to‐end payroll processing, payroll support, reporting and compliance activities from data validation through to payroll completion. This role is critical in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, supporting operational continuity and compliance across the business.
Key Activities Include:
Payroll Processing & Time and Attendance
* Review, monitor and triage approvals in the time and attendance system (TANDA).
* Apply entitlements, penalties and allowances under relevant awards, including Fast Food Industry and Clerks Awards.
* Process weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and within payroll deadlines for both company stores and support centre employees.
Payroll Validation, Accuracy & Records
* Validate and reconcile timesheets, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
* Maintain accurate employee records and lifecycle data across payroll systems.
* Ensure payroll data integrity across stores and the Restaurant Support Centre.
Payroll Support & Stakeholder Service
* Respond to payroll queries from restaurant teams, HR and Operations within agreed timeframes.
* Provide clear and accurate payroll information to support employee understanding.
* Liaise with external vendors to troubleshoot system issues and maintain smooth payroll operations.
Reporting, Compliance & Project Support
* Assist with payroll reporting, including month‐end and EOFY requirements.
* Support corporate payroll activities, including data preparation and reconciliations.
* Contribute to HR, ER and payroll projects, audits, system enhancements and process improvements.
About You
* Demonstrated technical payroll expertise, including award interpretation and payroll processing.
* Strong attention to detail, time management and problem‐solving skills.
* Professional, service‐focused approach aligned with organisational values.
* Experience in retail, hospitality or fast‐paced, multi‐site environments.
* Exposure to time and attendance systems such as TANDA and payroll platforms.
* Previous experience supporting payroll reporting, audits or payroll‐related projects.
