**The Position**
The purpose of this position is to support the business by developing and implementing HR initiatives and systems. The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting all aspects HR including recruitment and selection, administration, onboarding, performance management and remuneration.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide coaching and interpretation on EBA, Awards, Acts and NPA policies and procedures
- Support with end-to-end recruitment
- Coordinate the testing of applicants and provide feedback to managers and internal staff
- Maintaining the on-boarding system and support management throughout the on-boarding process with new hires
- Effectively manage the Health & Wellbeing programs, including EAP, The Vault Gym and Wellbeing Centre appointments
- Partner with management to effectively plan for labour hire requirements and support with general HR duties
- Manage labour hire requirements, including inductions and training materials
- Ensure Employee files are up to date
- Ensure that compliance checks such as police checks, references and pre-employment medicals are completed prior to employment
- Provide back-up support to Payroll as required
- Review EBA sick leave forms every pay cycle and report trends to management
- Prepare the WGEA report for CEO
- Manage the annual grading of staff positions and preparation of salary review spreadsheets
- Report on EBA Sick Leave trends to management
- Participation in the consultative committee
**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role such as HR Coordinator/Administrator
- Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
- High level of skill across Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidential information maturely and appropriately
- Act with a high degree of security awareness
- Strong customer focus
- Demonstrated experience of positive contributions to a team environment
