Motor Vehicle Technician
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a key role at our automotive service provider. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
The position involves carrying out a wide range of mechanical services and repairs on passenger vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard of safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include:
* Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in engines and associated components.
* Engine Repair and Maintenance: Disassemble and inspect engine systems, gearboxes, steering assemblies, and other critical parts. Repair or replace worn, damaged, or faulty components and reassemble systems using manufacturer service manuals as a reference.
* Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, and engine tuning to improve performance and meet environmental standards.
* Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or advise on required repairs to meet legal standards.
Qualifications: A minimum of three years' relevant experience and possession of an AQF Certificate III with at least two years' on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
