About this Position:
We are excited to invite applications for a term contract for a Pipelayer Operator within our highly skilled and supportive Water and Wastewater team. This position plays a key role in carrying out the safe and efficient construction, installation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure in alignment with Council's operational standards. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability of essential services, protecting public health and the environment, and supporting the delivery of high quality civil construction outcomes.

What we trust you to deliver:
* Civil Construction Operations: Carry out construction and installation of water and sewer mains and associated infrastructure, with work completed safely, accurately and in line with relevant industry standards and project requirements
* Heavy Plant Operation: Competently operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to excavators and vacuume trucks, to support safe and efficient construction activities
* Professional Interactions: Deliver professional customer interactions with the community and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders related to program delivery service
* Labouring duties: Perform manual labour to support the operations and construction of water and wastewater utilities, including tasks such as trenching and pipelaying
* Operational Planning and Delivery: Assist with planning and organising daily tasks in alignment with team goals, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of works
What you will need to be successful:
* Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipelaying) or relevant qualification or experience in a similar field
* Current Class C Drivers Licence and willing to obtain MR (Medium Rigid) Drivers Licence
* General Construction Induction Certificate (white card)
* Outcome focussed with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
* Able to work effectively both within a team and autonomously
Term Contract: 76 hours per fortnight with a nominal expiry date of 24 December 2027.
Salary: From $1,190.10 (Grade 7 Entry) per week + superannuation
