Job Description
Fisher Scientific seeks a skilled sales professional to manage and grow its UK Biotech customer base. This role focuses on selling scientific products and services, with an emphasis on developing and maintaining business relationships with customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow the UK Biotech customer base through effective sales strategies and relationship-building
* Sell scientific products and services to customers in the UK Biotech sector
* Work closely with suppliers to drive product awareness, customer-centric solutions, and sales execution
* Develop collaborative relationships with customers within the territory, through virtual and in-person interaction to grow RSD business
* Attract new clients for RSD through promoting schemes for new labs and biotech firms
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in a scientific subject area or equivalent work experience – Life Science with exposure to biotechnology workflows an advantage
* Prior commercial experience is preferred – field, retail & phone-based selling all of interest. Exposure to the research/development laboratory and/or a sound understanding of the current marketplace for laboratory equipment, consumables and/or chemicals is preferred
* Motivated individuals are looking for with a curiosity about the corporate world; you need to demonstrate validated organizational/collaboration skills and efficient time management
* Communication, presentation, strategic selling, and negotiation form the foundation of this role
* Ability to connect with customers across a range of settings including one-to-one meetings, exhibitions, and formal presentations
* Computer proficiency in MS Office, Web-based, and other digital platforms
* Valid UK driver's license & willingness to travel on a weekly basis (c.60%) within territory, plus regional & national meetings
