Expert Fire Protection Specialist Wanted
About the Role
We seek a seasoned fire protection specialist to lead our team in Western Australia's mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Foster a high-performing team of fire technicians and tradesmen, providing guidance and support daily.
* Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure effective coverage.
* Craft engaging training sessions and deliver valuable insights.
* Ensure timely completion of servicing, inspections, installations, and breakdown repairs.
* Review job quality, accuracy, and documentation for compliance.
* Oversee site readiness: stock, vehicles, tooling, extinguishers, and consumables.
* Assist with hands-on tasks as needed.
* Troubleshoot complex electrical and fire system issues.
* Support techs with problems across panels, detectors, suppression systems, pumps, and deluge systems.
* Approve and assist with testing, commissioning, and rectification.
* Guarantee adherence to AS1851, AS1670, AS2118, AS5062, and site-specific requirements.
* Collaborate closely with the planning team to confirm daily and weekly schedules.
* Liaise with site contacts, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure seamless operations.
* Maintain accurate stock levels for the branch and site sheds.
* Authorize or request orders when replenishment is required.
This role involves regular visits to customer sites and ongoing liaison with customers and employees.
