Corporate Counsel Position
As a Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the interests of our organization and its stakeholders. This dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team and build lasting partnerships across the globe.
About the Role
The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for providing legal guidance to the company, including direction and guidance on projects in partnership with other team members. Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating business contracts and public tenders.
2. Partnering with business units and functions in Australia and New Zealand to lead the implementation of contract templates, including updating templates according to company guidelines, laws or legal requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
3. Regularly and proactively advising business teams and functions on areas of law, including but not limited to contracts, construction, employment, privacy, dispute resolution etc. and developments applicable to Edwards operations in Australia and New Zealand.
4. Reviewing transactions and interactions with healthcare professionals, and providing appropriate legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
* Juris Doctor or equivalent in Law degree, Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
* One year experience in Legal/Business preferred.
* Other: in University law degree or equivalent, five years experience Legal/Business required.
