OverviewMining Engineer – Open Pit | FIFO 8/6 | Tier 1 Contractor | PilbaraAbout the roleAre you a skilled Mining Engineer with a passion for delivering and executing mine plans in large-scale open pit operations?
We're currently seeking a motivated professional to join a Tier 1 mining contractor on a 7-month contract in the Pilbara region, working on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, Busselton, or Broome.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage daily to weekly mine plans aligned with quarterly development milestones.Lead drill & blast scheduling, ensuring safe and productive execution.Perform ad hoc mine design work as required, including ramps, dumps, and pit modifications.Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.Use Vulcan mine design software to produce accurate and timely designs and schedules.About YouProven experience in daily planning and scheduling within large open pit environments.Strong background in drill & blast engineering and execution.Proficient in Vulcan mine design software (essential).
Able to work autonomously and deliver high-quality mine plans under tight timelines.Manual driver's license (preferred).
