Role Overview

The Orange Health Service is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Social Worker to provide psychosocial care to cancer patients, carers, and relatives.

This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality social work services in a dynamic rural setting.


About The Role

* Provide psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions to support individuals affected by cancer.
* Offer short-term individual and group counselling, as well as complex psychological support.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients and their families.
* Develop professional knowledge and skills through quality improvement activities and workplace education.

Key Responsibilities

1. To conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop tailored plans to address the needs of cancer patients and their carers.

3. To work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
4. To participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices within the social work department.
