Site Supervisor – Bulk Earthworks
Our client is a well-established civil contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex earthworks and environmentally focused infrastructure projects across Sydney Metro.
As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day‐to‐day site operations on a major civil construction project involving bulk earthworks, landfill construction, and capping works.
You will work closely with Project Managers, acting as the primary site representative while maintaining site productivity, compliance, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily site operations for bulk earthworks and landfill construction activities
* Lead and coordinate plant operators, labour and subcontractors
* Ensure production targets and project milestones are achievedMaintain high safety standards and conduct regular site inspections
* Perform quality checks to ensure works meet project specifications
* Coordinate earthmoving plant and GPS‐enabled machine control systems
* Assist with basic survey activities and site set‐out support
* Maintain accurate daily reports, site records and timesheets
* Communicate regularly with Project Managers and survey teams
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in civil construction site supervision
* Strong background in bulk earthworks and earthmoving operations
* Experience in landfill construction, lining systems, or capping works is highly desirable
* Knowledge of GCL installation or environmental infrastructure projects is an advantage
* Experience managing plant, operators and site crews
* Familiarity with GPS machine control systems and earthworks technologies
* Ability to support survey activities and coordinate site works
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage site documentation and reporting
