**Job Overview:**
Lian Building Group Pty Ltd is a leading provider of residential construction services in Queensland, specialising in new builds and renovations. We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team who has the right skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
* Assist in design development and prepare presentation drawings for client and project approval.
* Liaise with clients, builders, engineers, and consultants to ensure design requirements are accurately captured and implemented.
* Amend and update drawings during design and construction stages.
* Support contract administration, including site visits and resolving technical queries as required.
* Prepare comprehensive documentation packages, including Tender, Construction, and As-Built drawings.
* Prepare schedules, including window/door schedules, finishes, and materials.
* Develop 3D visualisations and model-building elements as required.
* Document and coordinate Building Information Modelling (BIM).
* Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with at least a relevant Associate Degree, or at least 6 years of relevant experience for those without a relevant qualification.
* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Office software, and interior design.
* Essential Skills:
o Advanced Drafting & Documentation: Produce accurate architectural drawings, sections, elevations, and details using Revit and AutoCAD.
o Building Information Modelling (BIM): Coordinate and manage BIM models, including clash detection, 3D visualisation, and documentation.
o Technical Detailing: Prepare joinery, partitions, ceilings, fit-outs, and as-built documentation with high precision.
o Design Interpretation & Spatial Awareness: Translate architectural concepts into functional, constructible designs while maintaining design quality.
o Construction Knowledge: Understanding of materials, construction methods, and design implications on cost and buildability.
o Project Coordination & Communication: Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, builders, clients, and consultants; respond to technical queries.
o Attention to Detail & Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in all drawings and documentation.
o Time & Documentation Management: Meet project deadlines and maintain organised drawing packages (Tender, Construction, As-Built).
