The Role – 12 Month Fixed‐Term Contract With a View to Permanency
We are seeking a detailed‐oriented payroll officer to assist our Payroll Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing while maintaining adherence to all relevant taxation, superannuation and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Effective onboarding of employees for payroll requirements
* Accurately input all staff timesheets, variations, and allowances into the payroll system
* Accurately interpret Award and contract provisions and ensure pay data reflects current rates and terms and conditions
* Process staff terminations
* Accurately process payroll
* Ensure disbursements of salary, deductions, PAYG, Superannuation, etc. are processed accurately
* Complete payroll reports as required
* Assist payroll Advisor with daily, weekly, and ad‐hoc reports
* Provide support to team members as required
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll processing – Mandatory
* Strong practical knowledge of Award and IR legislation – Mandatory
* NDIS Clearance – Mandatory
* Strong written and verbal communication skills – Mandatory
* Strong numerical skills – Mandatory
* Strong time management – Mandatory
* Strong attention to detail – Mandatory
* Practical knowledge of Office 365 – Mandatory
* Pragmatic problem‐solving ability – Mandatory
* Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, Human Resources or equivalent – Desirable
* Experience working in the disability sector – Desirable
