Full time, continuing position. Base salary: $104,616 - $113,920 + 17% superannuation (HEW Level 7). Based at None, Australia.
The Credit Services Team Leader is responsible for the efficient leadership and delivery of credit risk and compliance services across a broad range of financial activities. This role plays a key part in driving team performance through hands‐on management and coaching, while operating in a complex business model and effectively developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships to improve collection outcomes. You'll join a collaborative, service‐focused team aligned to all of the UQ values, including excellence, creativity, truth, respect and inclusivity, integrity and courage.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading, coaching and developing team members to achieve high performance.
* Managing debtor accounts and collections progress, ensuring compliance with policies and minimising bad debt.
* Preparing analysis and reports on outstanding debts and high‐risk exposures for senior management.
* Building strong relationships with stakeholders, providing credit risk and compliance advice, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Qualifications
* Relevant degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business, or equivalent experience and training.
* Active membership of the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Demonstrated experience leading credit services teams and achieving credit risk, collections, and compliance KPIs.
* Strong knowledge of financial processes in credit management within complex organisations.
* Proficiency with financial systems, administrative platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
* Proven commitment to high standards of customer service and continuous process improvement.
