Overview

Healthscope Victoria Casual Staffing Team – Theatre Technician – Operating Suite.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate patient safety by maintaining cleanliness of work benches and all equipment, reporting malfunctioning machinery or instruments, and using personal protective equipment at all times.
• Act as a valued member of the inter‐disciplinary team, working with the Unit Manager and clinical team, participating in meetings, and demonstrating attention to detail and time management.
• Maintain qualified and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high‐quality patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate operational efficiency by working efficiently and identifying and sharing opportunities for improvement to enhance service delivery.
• Practice and role‐model the Healthscope Safe Values to create a positive experience for colleagues, patients, families and community.
• Undertake duties in alignment with Healthscope's Health and Safety system and framework.

Qualifications

• Working rights within Australia.
• Current police check and children's check.
• Certificate III/IV qualifications in Health Services Assistant (Operating Theatre Technician) or higher.
• Minimum of one year of operating suite experience.
• Willingness to carry out the duties of a theatre technician in the operating theatre environment.
• Excellent customer service, organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Compliance with government regulations regarding food safety and infection control.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility in working hours and location.
