Established in 1981 Central Coast Group Training is the Central Coast's largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees. We are a highly reputable and professional not-for-profit organisation and are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate Field & Project Support Officer to join our amazing team.
About the Role
This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on variety and meaningful connection. While you'll spend some time in the office, the majority of your work will take place out in the field—supporting our incredible apprentices, trainees, and host employers.
Your role will also involve actively supporting funded programs designed for school students and/or job seekers. These programs aim to raise awareness and provide hands-on experiences, delivering mutual benefits for both potential candidates and host employers, while contributing to the future growth of apprenticeships and traineeships on the Central Coast.
A key part of this role is business development. You'll be actively seeking out new host employers and building strong relationships that open up real opportunities for apprentices and trainees. This includes maintaining regular contact with existing and past host employers. Your ability to identify and convert opportunities will directly support our mission of growing local skills and employment pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Build & maintain strong relationships with host employers, apprentices & trainees
* Provide day-to-day support for your case load of apprentices, trainees & host employers
* Perform assessments in the field, including performance reviews & WHS in the workplace
* Actively support various program-based initiatives
* Maintain accurate CRM records (Ready Recruit)
* Represent the organisation in the community & at events
* Engage in business development activities including sourcing new employers, host employer meetings, re-engaging past employers & identifying new opportunities
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Class C Driver's Licence
* Working with Children Check clearance
* WHS NSW General Construction Induction Card (or willing to acquire)
* Mental Health First Aid Certificate (or willing to acquire)
* Excellent time management skills
* Strong office administration knowledge
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable:
* Experience in the VET or GTO sector
* Knowledge of ACAP, TSNSW & RTO processes
* CRM experience
* Experience in business development or sales
* Experience within a similar role or organisation
