About the role
AVADA Traffic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Manager to oversee our growing operations in the North Queensland (Cairns, Gladstone, Mackay, Rockhampton and Townsville) area. As the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of traffic management professionals and ensuring the successful delivery of our services to our valued clients. This is a full-time position based in Townsville, QLD with regular travel across North Queensland required.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and oversee the performance of a team of traffic controllers, Supervisors, and support staff
* Develop and implement strategies to drive operational efficiencies and enhance service delivery
* Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their satisfaction with our services
* Manage budgets and resources to maximize profitability and productivity
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the North Queensland market
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols
* Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that supports professional development and employee wellbeing
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the construction or traffic management industry
* Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders
* Strong financial management and budgeting skills
* A deep understanding of traffic management regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices
* Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
* Familiarity with the North QLD market and existing industry relationships an advantage
