A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. This role will contribute to major infrastructure projects, industrial and commercial developments, while providing technical guidance in structural materials for junior team members.
* Lead the structural team in Melbourne with expertise in structural design and problem-solving skills.
* Apply fundamental engineering principles to solve complex engineering solutions.
* Liaise with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions.
* Manage client relationships, prepare fee proposals, and tender documentation.
* Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Key qualifications include:
* Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design.
* Deep understanding of structural engineering design principles and Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
* Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher.
* Strong analytical thinking skills and problem-solving mentality.
* Ability to mentor and review technical documentation for junior members.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients.
