About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to work on the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport Project. This role is offering a Monday to Friday roster for a 12 month duration. As part of SMWSA Project, the Snr Project Engineer will support the Rail Systems Construction Lead with site coordination for the assigned section of the Project.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Supports the RS Construction Lead with site access coordination from CIVIL to SIEMENS sub-systems within SMWSA consortium for a section defined by the Project.
* Lead construction interface and handover process from CIVIL to SIEMENS Rail Systems.
* Lead all documentations in readiness for installation (work packs) and drive 12 week and 4 week look ahead (4WLA).
* Ensure compliance to SIEMENS Project framework and procedures (Configuration management, Change management, RFI)
* Support Project team as required (Construction team, Planning team, Logistics team, Quality team and EHS team)
* Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders to coordinate best outcome for Project.
* Implement Project Management guidelines and processes, and coordinates amongst respective functional organisation.
* Administers and ensures adherence of Project Management policies, guidelines, programs and standards.
* Support the RS Constrution Lead with preparing and contributing for contractual/commercial matters upon request.
* Perform analysis workflow environment and propose improvements in PM operations.
* Oversee specific activities of Interface Management, without leading the team.
* Supports the RS Construction Lead by leading and coordinating technical solutions within SMWSA consortium (Including associated sub-contractors).
* Provides Technical oversight to the RS Constrution Lead and broader team to ensure that the Solution is realised within schedule and budgetary constraints.
Skills And Experience Required
* Understanding of the Construction Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan.
* Understanding of Rail System Safety Assurance process.
* Implementation of local and Internation Rail Standards, design approval and issuing of concessions process.
* Knowledge and awareness of work health and safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
* Skill in use of document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance and procedures.
* Engineering Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil or equivalent.
* Professional Rail Systems Engineering, Construction and T&C experience > 6 years on complex Rail Systems Projects.
* Demonstrated experience with CIVIL and Rail Systems Interfaces.
* Progress reporting on planned versus actuals (both CIVIL and Sub-Contractors), managing the handover process between CIVIL and Rail Systems and managing defects in a timely manner.
* Review change Requests, NCRs, CRFIs and Installation documentations.
* Demonstrated experience with Quality management (ITPs, ITRs and Defect management)
* Demonstrated experience with Configuration Change Board approval process.
* Flexibility to work weekend shifts and or night shifts when required.
