PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries and an expanding business.
THE OPPORTUNITY
PLI are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor with a Cert 10 to join our team to assist with project and shutdown works throughout the Pilbara.
Local applicants from Karratha are encouraged to apply; however, a FIFO arrangement from Perth will be considered for the right candidate.
Daily jobs include but not limited to:
* Provide leadership and direction to our workforce and subcontractors to ensure safe and timely execution of all works.
* Support quality management processes and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
* Ensure all welding activities comply with client specifications, requirements, and relevant standards.
* Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to welding and fabrication, including pressure equipment.
* Conduct detailed inspections.
* Calibration and validation of measuring, inspection and testing equipment.
* Adherence to a scheduled plan of work.
* Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
ABOUT YOU
* Must have a strong attention to detail.
* Must be able and willing to perform work that is repetitive in nature.
* Must be a strong team player with a ‘can do' attitude.
* Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are met for the works and its employees.
* Focused on maintaining a clean and safe working environment as well as continuous improvement and conducting all work in accordance with client, quality and ISO standards.
* Safety and process-focused, and willing to input and continually improve the process.
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Welding Supervisor role within the mining and resource sector
* Proof of right to work in Australia (mandatory)
* Australian recognised Trade qualification (mandatory)
* Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor (mandatory)
* Current and valid Australian HR Drivers Licence (mandatory)
* Strong Leadership skills
* Rio Tinto Inducted (highly desirable)
* Rio Tinto M1 (highly desirable)
* Demonstrate Fire (Mandatory)
* WAH (desirable)
* White Card (mandatory)
* Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screening test.
