Oversee the direction of an Information Technology (IT) functional, operational, and technical area, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.
Objectives- Create an RBA values aligned culture, enabling an environment for high levels of employee engagement and achievement.- Contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of the area, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes that meet current and future needs.-
- Ensure operational accountability regarding people management, budget, and processes.- Lead, guide, and develop individuals and teams, including project teams where required, to effectively achieve area outcomes.- Enable and recognise workforce performance in a way that encourages continuous improvement and maximises the value that can be delivered through technology investments.- Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems, and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation, and alignment with industry standards.- Identify and respond to issues, risks, and opportunities, ensuring appropriate processes and resources are in place to deliver technology solutions that are consistent with agreed service levels.- Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders ensuring that expectations are continually aligned.
Technical Capabilities- Knowledge of risk management processes and experience, ensuring availability of systems to meet business need.- Demonstrated understanding of responsibilities in relation to health, safety, and holistic wellbeing.- Familiarity with area-specific relevant policies, systems, and processes, as well as industry standards and best practice, and ability to help others understand and follow them.- Good understanding and current technical expertise in the area under management, including technology products and solutions used by the RBA (or similar organisation).- Ability to lead, direct and guide the work of others, including setting goals and prioritising the work to achieve operational results.
Qualifications- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements.- Requirement to provide on-call or shift support.- Requirement to work irregular hours with mínimal notice.- Participate in regular testing of arrangements for business continuity.- NV1 or greater security clearance required.
