About the Role

This is a hybrid role combining business development and estimating. You'll be expected to actively generate new work in the field, quote and close your own opportunities, and support incoming enquiries. This is not a desk-based estimating role — we're looking for someone who is proactive, comfortable on-site, and driven to win work.

You'll spend the majority of your time on-site building relationships and creating opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across construction, maintenance, and strata sectors

* Get out on-site, build relationships, and engage directly with builders, project managers, and decision-makers

* Walk sites, assess access challenges, and identify where rope access solutions add value

* Scope, price, and quote your own opportunities, ensuring jobs are commercially viable and well-defined

* Manage your pipeline from first contact through to closing the deal

* Follow up consistently on quotes and opportunities to win work, not just send pricing

* Support and quote incoming enquiries where required

* Work closely with the operations team to ensure projects are practical, safe, and profitable

* Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams throughout the sales process

What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or estimating within construction, trades, or a related industry

* A genuine hunter mentality — you're proactive, self-driven, and comfortable creating opportunities from scratch

* Confident working on-site and face-to-face with builders, project managers, and stakeholders

* Ability to scope and price work with a practical understanding of construction and access methods

* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and close deals

* Organised and accountable — able to manage your own pipeline, quotes, and follow-ups

* Commercially minded — you understand margin, risk, and job profitability

* Comfortable working autonomously without needing constant direction

* This role is not for someone who wants to sit behind a desk sending quotes. It's for someone who wants to get on-site, build relationships, and win work.

Highly regarded:

* Experience in rope access, painting, remediation, façade, or maintenance services

* Existing contacts in the South East Queensland construction or strata market
