MECHANICAL FITTER

Newland Precision Engineering is a specialist manufacturer of drilling and mining equipment, delivering high-quality engineering solutions to clients across Australia and Internationally. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Kalgoorlie Team. This position is workshop based and will report to the Workshop Manager

The position will be responsible for duties including:

* Assembly of manufactured components.
* Repairs and Maintenance of customer owned assets and equipment.
* Mechanical Assembly and Diagnostics.
* Hydraulic/Pneumatic Assembly and Diagnostics.
* Commission and repair machines and equipment on site as required.
* Support customers and ensure they receive the highest quality service.
* Comply with Quality Procedures and Policies in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality System
* Comply with HSE Procedures and Policies in accordance with ISO 45001 Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Successful applicant must have:

* Trade Certificate - Mechanical Trade
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience with Boart Longyear or underground diamond drills is desirable, not essential.
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
* Current Forklift Ticket.
* Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills.
* Strong Organisational and Communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
* High level of safety orientation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week
