About the role
We are seeking a Casual AOD Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Rewire and Realign Rehabilitation in Yarra Glen, VIC. As an AOD Support Worker, you will provide overnight support and care to clients in our residential rehabilitation facility, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the night.
What you'll be doing
* Monitor clients and provide support, care and assistance during the overnight shift
* Respond to any incidents or emergencies that may arise, following established protocols
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of client activities and any issues that occur during the shift
* Liaise with the day team to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of care
* Contribute to the overall therapeutic community and support the recovery of clients
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications or experience in the community services or alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
* Demonstrated understanding of addiction, mental health and trauma-informed care principles
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Valid Driver's Licence
