Overview
Electoral Commission of South Australia is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Assistant to deliver efficient, confidential, and proactive support to the Electoral Commissioner and the broader executive team.
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level executive, clerical, and secretarial support, including managing diaries and correspondence, coordinating meetings, and preparing agendas, papers, and minutes. The role also involves arranging travel and undertaking minor projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring executive leaders are provided with advice and support on all appointments, events, and correspondence, including coordinating appropriate briefing materials and information.
- Providing secretariat services for meetings, including preparing agendas, collating and disseminating briefing papers, coordinating venues and catering, taking and writing minutes, and following up on actions.
- Undertaking research and minor projects on a range of matters to support the Executive and broader leadership team.
- Drafting correspondence and other documentation, and regularly reviewing office systems, practices and procedures.
- Liaising with the Minister\'s Office, AGD staff and other external stakeholders as required to support the Executive team.
Applications are encouraged from individuals with exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills, a proven track record in providing executive-level clerical and secretarial support, strong time management capabilities, and experience in leading and managing minor projects.
Special Conditions

- Employment is dependent upon a criminal history check that the Commission finds satisfactory.
- Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during the period of an election.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
