AMA Projects is a commercial construction company established in Canberra in 2010 by our three Directors. Since then, we have grown to include offices in Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane, delivering projects across Australia.

We specialise exclusively in commercial construction and deliver a diverse range of projects including fitouts, refurbishments, services upgrades, small new builds, high-security facilities and infrastructure upgrades. Our clients include government departments, national institutions and private organisations.

The Opportunity

AMA Projects is seeking a Bid Manager to join our tendering team in our Canberra office.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction project management or site delivery who enjoys the strategic side of projects (planning, problem solving, working to deadlines and building strong relationships), but may no longer feel the pull to be on site at 7am!

As Bid Manager, you will manage the tender process from start to finish, coordinating the many moving parts required to prepare high quality submissions. The role requires a strong understanding of construction methodology, exceptional writing skills and the ability to translate technical information into clear and compelling tender responses.

Working closely with our National Bid Manager, Estimators and Project Teams, you will play a key role in shaping project strategies and positioning AMA Projects for success.

* Be able to review construction plans and identify the scope of works

* Have the technical construction knowledge to formulate methodologies for delivery

* Have excellent writing skills and attention to detail

* Successfully work on multiple tasks at any given time

* Develop and maintain positive and professional staff and stakeholder relationships

* Effectively manage their time to ensure tenders are submitted within strict deadlines

* Be proactive and can take a high level of initiative

* Sets a good example through appropriate attitude and behaviour
