Teaching Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled secondary school teacher to join our team for a long service leave relief position.
About the Position:
This is a fixed term contract role, commencing Term 2, 2025. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching ATAR / General Outdoor Education to students in Year 11 and 12, as well as Outdoor Education to Years 9-10. They will also be required to deliver Essential and Foundation Mathematics to Year 11 students.
Camps and Expeditions:
The teacher will be involved in leading two 3-day camps during Term Two, including a Year 11 Expedition that returns on a Saturday. Regular use of time during lunch, recess, before and after school will be required to run excursions.
Salary:
The HillSide Teacher Pay Scale will apply, with negotiable salary based on qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, applicants must be practising evangelical Christians who can demonstrate their faith and work within our College's Christian framework. They must also be able to teach from a Christian worldview and accept the College's Code of Conduct, including the Statement of Faith and compliance requirements.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants should have high-level teaching skills, a strong desire to work within a Christian team setting, and be active members of an evangelical Christian Church. A cover letter outlining suitability for the role, a current CV, and written references from a Pastor/Elder will be required.
