Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer Position
* Verify the quality and quantity of incoming materials and equipment, compare work drawings and specifications with site plans and conditions, and arrange for corrections or modifications as necessary
* Coordinate activities for 6.5km dual carriageway CRCP works on the project
* Assign tasks and collaborate with reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to required standards for supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangements
* Maintain communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to guarantee satisfactory completion of structures and construction work
* Manage engineering team activities, program workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
* Desirable experience as a Project Engineer and operational experience, minimum of 10 years in Construction
* Familiarity with Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, Specifically TfNSW Q6 and Project Quality Plan (PQP) development and implementation
* Experience in delivering high-quality outcomes in the construction of PCP and/or CRCP pavement using TfNSW R82/R83 Pavement Base or equivalent TMR CRC Pavement Base Specifications
* Experience in TfNSW R93 Pavement Grinding
* Effective time management skills
* Proven experience in cost planning and forecasting
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Project Engineer and operational experience is desirable
* Understanding of Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, and Project Quality Plan
Knowledge of TfNSW specifications and guidelines is highly advantageous.
