About the Role
As an Accounts Officer, your primary role will be handling accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, financial reporting, fleet management, and liaising with external accountants to support overall financial health.
This includes:
* Managing bank reconciliations, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with tax, BAS, and superannuation requirements.
* Processing accounts payable and receivable, including accurate client billing and debt recovery.
* Handling payroll processing, resolving pay issues, and tracking long service leave.
* Maintaining the Asset Register and ensuring vehicles are registered, insured, and expenses are accurately tracked and allocated.
* Preparing regular financial reports and analysing income, expenses, and profitability.
* Improving financial systems and supporting financial projects like salary packaging and SIL funding reviews.
* Collaborating with leadership on cost efficiency, new revenue, and financial sustainability.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in financial roles, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting
* Strong proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
* Experience collaborating with external accountants and ensuring regulatory financial compliance
* Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
Desired:
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance
* Experience managing finances within NDIS environment
