Live-In Motel/Hotel/Apartment Manager (Ideal for Duo/Team of 2)
Are you ready to run your own property in Paradise?
We're seeking a capable, motivated, hands-on, proactive and trustworth Live in Manager (or team of 2) to take full reponsibility of an established, independent apartment motel in Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
The successful applicant/s will have operational autonomy to manage the property, a supportive owner and a high performing property with a strong reputation.
Key Responsibilities
You (or you and your partner) will oversee the day-to-day operations of the apartment motel/hotel incuding:
Operations & Guest Services
Oversee all daily property operations; reception, housekeeping, maintenance and customer service
Manage checkin/outs, guest relations, inquiries both in person and online
Resolve issues independently with a proactive, guest-first attitude
Ensure rooms and public areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
Ensure compliance with and implement/amend checklists and procedures
Work co-operatively and constructively with apartment owners, Body Corporate and contractors
Recruit, train, schedule and manage a small team (including casuals and contractors) across all departments
Maintain a professional, respectful team environment and lead by example
Manage operating budgets, monitor expenses and report regularly to off-site owners
Adjust room rates based on dynamic pricing, occupancy and market conditions
Process payroll, pay suppliers and ensure accurate book keeping and reporting
Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement
Respond promptly to guest reviews and enquiries and messages promptly
Maintenance & Property Oversight
Prioritisation of and timely resolution of all repairs and maintenance
Oversee preventative maintenance and co-ordinate with contractors when necessary
Co-ordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with in-house and external contractors
Ensure compliance with safety, health and licensing requirements
Qualifications & Attributes
We're looking for someone (or a duo) with:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in hospitality or accommodation management
Strong leadership, initiative and guest-first attitude
Excellent admin, financial, and systems proficiency (PMS, OTA platforms, CMMS)
A calm and practical approach to maintenance, compliance and on-call needs
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
Australian work rights and valid drivers licence
