About the Role The Organisational Development (OD) Lead role is responsible for shaping and implementing strategies that drive organisational effectiveness and culture transformation. This role leads a team of L&OD professionals dedicated to enhancing engagement through initiatives such as but not limited to: employee engagement surveys (PMS), staff recognition programs, and supporting forward-facing career conversations (PDP), Exit Survey, Workforce Strategy and Induction. We are looking for someone who thrives on leading small teams and coaching and developing their people. Working closely with the team, you will partner with lead / senior consultants and stakeholders to identify organisational and learning needs to build the departments capability and drive continuous improvement. This may include: * Lead organisational development programs such as PDP, Employee Survey, Recognition, Workforce Strategy development and implementation, Induction, learning solutions to name a few. * Undertake a refresh and redevelopment of Induction related activities * Support the development of the department's new Workforce Strategy * Provision of specialist advisory and consultancy services and development of OD related solutions and interventions. * Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure expectations, enquiries and delivery are well coordinated * Drive improvement projects that enhance the employee lifecycle experience and reporting processes. About the Division The Lead Learning and Organisational Development Consultant (OD)position works within the and the Employee Learning and Inclusion branch of the People Strategy and Operations (VPS) division. The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) division was established to: * Provide end to end people services to the department's 4,000 VPS employees * Provide strategic workplace relations advice and support to the VPS and early childhood sectors * Manage corporate office working places and environmental sustainability. About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. Attributes The role requires an individual with proven experience in L&OD leadership roles, preferably in a fast-paced or complex organisation. Essential to the role is strong leadership and people management skills. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills will also be critical to the role. The role requires a flexible and proactive self-starter who is comfortable working across a variety of tasks in a dynamic team environment and can apply critical thinking to resolve problems and improve processes. As our ideal candidate you will have: * Well-developed organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring smooth coordination of learning and organisational initiatives * A collaborative approach with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work effectively within a team * Customer focus, with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of internal clients to enhance the employee lifecycle experience * Flexibility and adaptability to contribute across diverse projects and initiatives within the broader team * Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to analyse issues and implement practical solutions * Effective communication skills, including managing stakeholder expectations and coordinating clear and timely communications * Proven project management experience, managing multiple tasks and initiatives independently to drive continuous improvement * Strong People Management experience.
