The Role
As Stock Controller, you'll be central to our operational efficiency — overseeing the full vehicle registration process, conducting detailed audits, and managing the pre-delivery pipeline to ensure vehicles are ready to meet customer expectations. This position requires someone confident in systems, coordination, and communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the registration process for new and used vehicles, ensuring all compliance and documentation requirements are met.
* Conduct detailed stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records and promptly identify and rectify discrepancies.
* Oversee the pre-delivery process, working closely with the service and sales teams to ensure vehicles are prepared to the highest standard.
* Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle movements, registrations, and stock levels using inventory management tools.
* Liaise with sales, service, and admin departments to ensure clear communication and efficiency in vehicle availability and handover timelines.
* Continuously improve stock control procedures to minimise loss and increase operational accuracy.
* Coordinate with suppliers and transport providers to ensure timely arrivals, accurate invoicing, and smooth registration.
About You
* Previous experience in stock control, particularly within the automotive industry, with a sound understanding of vehicle registration processes.
* Confident in audit processes and well-versed in inventory management principles.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.
* Proficient in stock management systems and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
