We are seeking a full-time Senior Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. This role is ideally suited to a Qualified Chartered Accountant looking to build or advance a career in technology and ERP systems. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial and operational requirements, design and implement ERP solutions, and provide ongoing support. Working alongside our consulting and development teams, you will apply your accounting knowledge while developing strong technical and systems expertise, helping clients optimise processes and drive efficiency.
Position Description
* Lead ERP implementations, upgrades, user training, and ongoing support.
* Design, develop, and analyse financial reports to support business decision-making.
* Configure and maintain Chart of Accounts and General Ledger structures.
* Analyse business processes and data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control.
* Design and enhance business processes and controls.
* Manage data migration, validation, and system testing.
* Investigate and resolve financial and operational system issues.
* Develop and maintain system and process documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
* Build strong client relationships through ongoing support and engagement.
To be successful in this position
* Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent)
* Extensive experience in Systems Accounting and ERP environments
* Proven experience implementing or supporting ERP/accounting systems
* Deep understanding of financial processes and their integration into ERP systems related to GL, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
* Strong Business systems and data analysis capability
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders
* Experience in the fuel and gas industry, energy or logistics sectors is desirable.
* Knowledge of or experience in SQL, Scripting languages, Sage300, Crystal Reports
* Power BI would be an advantage.
