Who you are
You nurture a deep passion, curiosity, energy and understanding of home furnishing and people's everyday lives at home. You ideally have a higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design, and a solid background of working as a visual merchandiser. You possess clear technical strengths, with experience working with SketchUp, AutoCAD and/or Revit. You have excellent time & project management abilities and are confident juggling competing priorities. You aspire to be a motivational leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability, continually challenging yourself and your team to strengthen the IKEA brand and at the same time exceed expectations of our customers. You are confident in communicating, influencing and coaching others and continually seek current opportunities to improve the way we work, and encourage your team to do so.
Responsibilities:
As the Visual Merchandise Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
Recruiting, developing and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive and honest, two-way feedback.

This role is permanent full time, 76 hours per/fortnight.
