What You’ll Do
Coordinate, plan and manage construction projects across the Woolworths portfolio and supervise and mentor a team of Project Managers.
- Ensure project lifecycle is delivered on time and to budget according to the latest store design kit.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of project managers, set expectations and delegate tasks effectively; conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders including renewal managers, equipment project managers, our construction and refit teams, contractors and shopfitters.
- Manage the financial position of projects including cost reporting, forecasting and variation management.
- Oversee construction, attend construction meetings, finalise contracts, arrange agreements between all parties, undertake timely project closeouts and carry out built quality inspections.
- Overall management of all appointed contractors for construction, including site safety and resolving all on‑site issues.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in Construction Project Management in an end‑to‑end capacity.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring a team.
- Experience in a variety of environments – retail supermarket environments, property etc.
- Strong understanding of construction management methodology and principles.
- Qualifications in Construction Management or a construction‑based trade background an advantage.
- Flexibility to travel to regional locations in SA, NT and WA for site meetings and inspections.
- Construction industry white card and drivers licence.
