Pharmacy Technician Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to support our Medicines Management Team in providing clinical pharmacy input to inpatient units and specialist services.
The successful candidate will lead on medical gases, contribute to Trust-wide Medicines Safety and Governance, and assist with the legal, safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
This is a Monday-Friday role with no weekends or on-call. Flexible and hybrid working may be considered, and some travel across Sussex is required.
* Assist in the legal, safe and cost-effective use of medicines, ensuring advice is in line with evidence-based prescribing and pharmaceutical care plans.
* Work closely with designated medicines management pharmacists, technicians and assistants to develop and deliver a pharmaceutical technical service in bedded units and services.
* Lead on Medical Gases and other medicines management specialty areas as agreed with line manager.
* Supervise / manage pharmacy assistant(s) depending on specialty area and locality.
* Answer queries within area of competence.
* Ensure advice promotes compliance with local Sussex Partner formulary.
* In agreement with line-manager, travel to various sites within SCFT to deliver medicines management services.
