What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Deputy Director Finance and Analytics the primary objective of this role is to provide efficient and effective support to the Finance Business Partners. This position will assist the development of key budget and planning processes and will maintain control systems for Financial management across the LHD and within the Finance and Performance Directorate.
Selection Criteria
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, finance (or related subject) and relevant post-graduate qualifications such as membership of a professional accounting body (e.g CA, CPA), or experience in a public/private health environment with responsibility for financial management and analysis.
* Experience in financial management and budget systems and/or databases including the ability to analyse financial data to support decision making.
* Proven ability to maintain accuracy of data and reporting of financial and other business information.
* High level computer skills in all Microsoft applications.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including experience in building and maintaining relationships and liaising and influencing a broad range of staff and stakeholders.
* Ability to work as part of a team within a busy finance environment.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in an ever changing environment.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
