Overview
All new staff will complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site. To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine passion for serving elderly people and want to make a difference in their lives. You should be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights and weekends. You should value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative. You should have knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs. Applicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably.
Responsibilities
* Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, etc.
* Provide life engagement for residents.
* Support residents with levels of dementia.
* Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs.
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts including nights and weekends.
* Genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference in their lives.
* Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably.
