Your new company
Are you an experienced accountant with strong commercial audit exposure? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established organisation on a temporary basis, supporting their year‑end close, external audit requirements and a special‑purpose audit project.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Lead, you will play a key role in supporting year‑end processes and liaising across multiple business areas. This assignment will run for a minimum of 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension should audit timelines require it.
Your responsibilities will include:
Liaising with external auditors and coordinating responses to requests for information.
Compiling supporting data for audit requests across functions including Warehouse, IT, Accounts Payable and wider accounting team
Assisting with end‑of‑year adjustments, including identification, calculation and posting
Completing reconciliations required for year‑end close
Compiling sample data for audit testing
Supporting RFIs, calculations and queries from tax agents for preparation of the year‑end tax return
What you'll need to succeed
Strong accounting background with experience in commercial audit or external audit coordination
High level of accuracy, analytical capability and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple business areas
Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach
Availability to commence immediately in Ballarat
