This national organisation has a head office based in a central Hobart location and is searching for an experienced Corporate Accountant to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. A market leader in their field, they pride themselves on being a great place to work and enjoy a very low turnover in the Finance team.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will be an integral position to the Finance Team and act with a high level of autonomy. Your key functions will be:
The preparation of Month-end Management Accounts and the End of Year Statutory Accounts Preparation of the Annual Budget Oversee tax and Accounting compliance Preparation of departmental cost reports Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, financial institutions and payroll provider Provide support to the broader accounts/finance team members Other project-related work as required What you'll need to succeed
A self-starter, you'll be degree-qualified and have completed your CA/CPA. You'll have demonstrated experience in a similar role or will have experience within public practice. You'll demonstrate a dedication to continuous improvement, enjoy working to deadlines, and possess excellent excel skills. Your outstanding communication skills will be underpinned by high-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities through which you can demonstrate good judgement and financial acumen. With excellent people skills, you'll enjoy working with various stakeholders right across the business.
Prior to commencement, you'll need to undergo a national police check.
