Morphett Vale Foodland is looking for a skilled and dedicated Qualified Butcher to join our supermarket team. As a Qualified Butcher, you'll be a key player in delivering top-quality meats to our customers, ensuring they receive the freshest and finest cuts every time.
Role Highlights:
* Expert Meat Cutting: Utilize your butchery skills to prepare a wide variety of meats, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to customer preferences.
* Customer Engagement: Provide expert advice on meat selection, cooking techniques, and meal planning to enhance the customer shopping experience.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all meat products meet our high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues to create a positive, supportive, and efficient team environment in the meat department.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Cut, trim, bone, and portion meats for display and customer orders, following strict safety and hygiene protocols.
* Manage and maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organised meat department, including regular rotation of products to ensure freshness.
* Offer exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and fulfilling special requests.
* Monitor inventory levels, place orders as needed, and manage waste to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Expectations:
* Certified qualifications as a Butcher with proven experience in a retail or supermarket environment.
* Strong knowledge of different meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards under pressure.
