Overview
Sutherland Shire Council invites applications for a driven Project Manager to join the Construction Management Unit. This role offers the opportunity to manage diverse capital infrastructure projects, develop leadership skills, and make a real impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Lead project governance processes, ensuring all approvals are secured and compliance is maintained.
- Manage project schedules and budgets to deliver projects on time and within financial parameters.
- Quality assurance through rigorous inspection and adherence to management principles.
- Foster solid relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, Councillors, and the public.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Building or Civil Engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Benefits
- Package: $107,000 - $119,500 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month flex time arrangement.
