* Base salary from $119,264 per annum (pro rata .8) + 17% Superannuation

About the position

The Projects and Grants Development Specialist plays a key role in strengthening OTARC's research impact by leading the development of high-quality and competitive grant and tender submissions. Working closely with academic and professional staff across the Centre, and in partnership with the University's Research Office, the role supports the identification and advancement of funding opportunities that align with the Centre's strategic priorities, ensuring compliance with both funder and University requirements.

The position provides practical, end-to-end support to enhance funding competitiveness and project readiness, and establishes and maintains effective systems and processes to oversee and track the Centre's grants pipeline.

This position will suit someone with strong grant writing experience who thrives on strategic coordination, values collaboration across diverse teams and is motivated by research that creates meaningful impact for Autistic people, their families and their communities.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

* A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, compelling, and compliant grant and tender applications, and to translate complex research concepts into fundable proposals and support successful funding outcomes.
* Ability to design, implement, and maintain systems and processes to identify funding opportunities, track applications, and manage active grant portfolios to support reporting, monitoring, and strategic decision‐making.
* Capability to coordinate complex projects and multidisciplinary teams, working effectively with academic staff, and external partners to manage documentation, priorities, and deadlines to deliver high-quality outputs across concurrent activities within complex organisational environments.
