Elphinstone is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to enhance and maintain our facilities, plant and equipment at our Defence manufacturing facility located in Wynyard.
This role will report to the Business Improvement Manager and is a hands-on role that has a focus on safety compliance, equipment reliability while working collaboratively across the business to minimise downtime.
Key responsibilities
* Manage maintenance tasks, schedules and requests via internal systems
* Maintain and service equipment to minimise downtime across facilities.
* Lead risk assessments and promote a safe working environment
* Maintain contractor details, licences and insurance documentation
* Create and update planned maintenance activities and Standard Work instructions
* Coordinate external contractors and ensure compliance with licences and insurance
Skills and Experience
* Electrical or Mechanical Fitter trade qualified
* Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
* Electrical/Mechanical technical knowledge
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and positive mindset.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Forklift, boom lift and working at heights licences (or willingness to obtain)
