About the Practice
We are a team of breast surgeons and clinicians providing expert care in the treatment of cancer and other breast conditions, based at Camperdown.

The Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
You will provide reception and administrative support to patients and specialist doctors, ensuring clinics run efficiently and patients feel supported and well informed.
There will also be the opportunity to step into a supportive coordinating role when the Practice Manager is on leave — helping ensure the day runs smoothly. This is not a formal management position, however it will suit someone who is confident, reliable and comfortable taking initiative when required.
Hours:
* Monday 7:00am – 3:00pm
* Tuesday 9:00am – 5:00pm
* Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm
* Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (earlier start negotiable if preferred)
Key Responsibilities
* Managing reception during busy consulting sessions
* Providing warm and professional patient interaction (phone and face-to-face)
* Managing patient data, appointments, correspondence and accounts
* Coordinating imaging and procedure appointments
* Managing incoming and outgoing referrals
* Scheduling appointments and recalls in Xestro medical software
* Processing accounts, Medicare billing and receipting
* End-of-day financial reconciliations
* Supporting the Practice Manager and surgeons with general administration and practical assistance
* Assisting with the smooth running of the clinic when the Practice Manager is on leave
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist (highly regarded), however strong administrators from other industries with excellent customer service skills are encouraged to apply
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Outlook is required. Experience with medical software (particularly Xestro) is highly regarded, though not essential.
* A compassionate, empathetic and professional communication style
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and pride in your work
* Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a team
* Willingness to provide coverage for staff illness and annual leave, with flexibility in hours when required to support practice needs (no weekend work).
