We currently have a vacancy for a Territory Manager in our Surgical Team which is a professional sales position whose primary objective is the presentation, promotion, and sale of the Bausch + Lomb portfolio of surgical device products such as intraocular lenses, viscoelastic solutions, and other surgical products.
This role will cover NSW North which covers Central Coast up to Northern NSW.
About the role:
* To promote and sell our surgical products to ophthalmologists, theatre nurses, and procurement departments of Day Surgeries and Hospitals in the assigned territory.
* Create interest and demand for our surgical technologies with Ophthalmologists.
* Providing continuous support for the product range through attending meetings, trade displays and conferences with the objective of maintaining and expanding the company's customer base.
* Analyse sales trends and monitoring competitor activity and market trends to ensure you achieve planned objectives.
* Ensure maximum coverage of accounts within Territory.
* Execute territory sales plans on a quarterly basis.
* Provide support for surgeons and nursing staff in all aspects of surgical technique as related to Bausch + Lomb Surgical equipment.
* Provide field technical support in the assigned territory through sales demonstrations, training, lectures, and troubleshooting.
* Management of consignment stock.
Knowledge and Skills (include experience and qualifications):
* A proven track record in medical device / technical sales (minimum 3 years)
* Tertiary qualification preferred
* Experience in Ophthalmic Nursing, Orthoptics or theatre environment
* Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong business acumen
* Demonstrated experience achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets
* Ability to establish new distribution channels for current and future product ranges
* Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop a customer base
* Ability to develop and maintain key clinical relationships
* Ability to react swiftly in problem solving and technical troubleshooting
