The Firm
Our client is a growing legal practice based in Bangalow, committed to providing exceptional service to their clients. They are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Clerk to join their close-knit team. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of their financial operations, particularly in relation to Trust and Office Accounts.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Principal Solicitor, the Accounts Clerk will be responsible for:
* Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero and LEAP
* Daily and weekly reconciliation of Trust, Office, and Credit Card accounts
* Preparing and issuing invoices, managing debtors, and processing supplier payments
* Handling cash deposits and RapidPay allocations
* Assisting with financial reporting, payroll, and BAS preparation (after 6-12 months)
* Supporting compliance with Trust Account regulations and Law Society obligations
* Providing general clerical and reception support as required

They are seeking someone who is:
* Accurate, organised, and proactive in financial record-keeping
* Skilled in Xero and familiar with Microsoft Office (LEAP training will be provided)
* Able to manage deadlines and juggle competing priorities
* Professional, discreet, and able to uphold confidentiality at all times
* A team player who is willing to pitch in with a variety of office tasks
Essential Requirements
* A current Police Clearance Report (required due to Trust Account handling), or able to obtain one prior to commencement
* Ability to obtain a Westpac Client ID prior to commencement
