Job Description
* Oversee the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions.
* Develop and implement transformation strategies for accounts payable operations.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve financial reporting.
* Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment-related issues promptly.
* Prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable performance and key metrics.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for the accounts payable team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Director of Accounts Payable - Transformation & Operations should have:
* Over 5 years' experience in a senior managerial/leadership role in a finance function - AP related
* Proven expertise in accounts payable management within the public sector.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
* Experience in leading transformation projects and process improvements.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
