About the Role
The Area Manager is a pivotal leadership position responsible for growing the Perth business and collaborating with state and national sector leads to execute the Area-based operational plan. The successful candidate will drive business strategy and development, client relationship activities across sectors, and sound commercial management of budgets.
This role requires significant experience operating in the Transport market in either Road or Rail; however, experience in other sectors is welcome. The ideal candidate will mentor and support Local Sector Managers in client-facing activities and provide pastoral care to all Area staff as needed.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and Support: Provide inspiring leadership and support to Area personnel, ensuring cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development;
* Strategic Planning: Ensure effective strategic planning, implementation, execution, and monitoring across the Area;
* Business Growth: Work with National Managers to achieve sustainable business growth across the Area and Nationally through targeted client relationship management and business development activities according to national priorities;
* Operational Oversight: Collaborate with the ANZ Manager – Operations Support to oversee all significant internal assets, purchasing, and facilities decisions;
* Project Governance: Take accountability for or transition project governance and other client service imperatives that occur within the area office to the relevant market sector personnel.
