The HumeLink West Project is a pioneering initiative by UGL and CPB Contractors to deliver the western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
This groundbreaking endeavor involves constructing new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 130km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, as well as a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
About the Role
As a Sustainability Professional, you will lead the environmental and sustainability function for the business, implementing the environmental management system, environment management plans (EMPs), and auditing environmental compliance.
You will provide technical guidance at a project level and strategic input at a business level, focusing on managing, leading, and motivating the wider business and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct ongoing legal and EIMS compliance auditing and analysis of all related environmental performance.
* Ensure the development of EMS, EMPs, CEMPs, and OEMP's on all projects.
* Comply with company and legislative requirements.
* Develop, report, and analyze environmental objectives and targets.
* Report and analyze environmental events.
* Participate in client or external audits.
* Liaise with regulators on behalf of UGL where required.
* Provide expert environmental advice to divisional management, projects, and sites.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Leadership experience with proven ability to manage and implement improved environment and operational sustainability outcomes.
* Relevant degree or postgraduate qualifications in environmental management or environmental science, engineering, or equivalent.
* At least 5 years' experience in Environment Management in a similar industry.
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
* Internal HSSE Auditing Qualification (RABQSA, JAS-ANZ, or equivalent).
* Root Cause Investigation Qualification: Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM).
